'The Body Artist' by Don DeLillo

Yes, finally I have gotten around to read a DeLillo book. This is my first Don DeLillo.

The book commences in a kitchen scene, where husband and wife enact routine with an ambience of mutually irritating intimacy... I really feel like I'm robbing everyone if I say any more than that. People will just have to trust me when I say that it is worth the read.

It explores concepts of familiarity, similarity, mimicry and love. Perhaps even mental retardation.

Oh and yes, identity.

And the title? The missus is a 'body artist'.
