'I was Amelia Earhart' by Jane Mendelsohn

Impertinent as it may seem but I say it with much pride that I was born on the same day as the beautiful visionary, Amelia Earhart.

Although the book undoubtedly romanticises her life liberally, it nevertheless captures the portrait of a woman - much like many of us and much like any of us - going through life, through a marriage, through ambition.

I will definitely read more of Mendelsohn's work.
